Tony Horton is the son of Anthony Sawyer Horton (Sr.) and Jean (née Gencarelli), Horton.Tony Horton has appeared on countless television programs as a fitness and lifestyle expert to promote healthy living through exercise and proper nutrition. At 20 years old, Tony Horton was just another face in the crowd.A pantomime at the Santa Monica Pier by day, a part-time Chippendales go-go dancer by night, an aspiring actor and comedian wannabe in between. After moving to California in 1980, Horton became a personal trainer to an executive at 20th Century Fox, working out of his garage and charging per lesson.
I didn’t know it was going to be as a health/fitness/wellness guy. When his agent told him he needed to get fit to get work, Tony journeyed to the only option he could think of: the gym.35 years, a lot of muscles and strength of character later, Tony is no longer just another face in the crowd. Breakfast Sometimes Shawna [Tony’s wife] will cook an incredible egg, pepper, onions, garlic, spice, and avocado dish for me. Saturday morning: I head to Malibu for Ted “The Floater” Mc Donald’s yoga class at 5 Point Yoga. Sunday morning: At AM I go to the UCLA track (feel free to come to this one too) for speed work. Tony skips the coffee and goes straight for a glass or two of cool water. I’d love a “rock and roll” wake up time of whatever I feel like, but most of my workouts are at AM and my workouts are much more important than sleeping in.
